Academics

From kindergarten to Grade 9

We follow the Lebanese national curriculum, and support each student at every stage in the way their age and ability require.

Our cycles

Ages 3 to 5

Kindergarten

Three preparatory years in which children meet letters, numbers and languages through play, movement and art, in a patient setting that allows each child their own pace.

Grades 1 to 6

Primary

Reading, writing and arithmetic laid down securely, alongside the habits of steady study. All three languages are taught, with science, social studies, art and physical education.

Grades 7 to 9

Intermediate

Wider scientific and literary study, the growth of critical thinking and research skills, and close preparation for the Brevet examinations.

Languages

Three languages from the start

We teach three languages because Lebanese students need them at university and in working life - and because mastery of the mother tongue is the condition for mastering any other.

Arabic

The primary language of instruction and of identity - taught as literature, grammar and expression at every stage.

English

Taught from kindergarten onward, becoming a language of instruction for scientific subjects in the intermediate cycle.

French

A third language taught within the Lebanese national curriculum, opening wider university options to our students.
